2021 Ford F-150

Some 2021 F-150 vehicles may exhibit an inoperative rear camera and/or diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) C1001:01 in the Sync Module (APIM) or B115E:15 or B115E:31 in the Image Processing Module A (IPMA). This may be due to a loose coaxial cable or circuit connection. If only APIM DTC C1001:01 is present, verify connections at connectors C242E/F, C2563 (with 12 inch screen) and/or C263 (with 8 inch screen). If IPMA DTCs B115E:15 and/or B115E:31 are also present, verify connections at connectors C242E/F, C316, C425 and C4357. If all connections are secure, perform PPT G in Workshop Manual (WSM) Section 413-13B. For claiming, use causal part number 19G490.

Some 2021 F-150 vehicles equipped with a 3.5L Powerboost engine and 7.2kW Pro Power Onboard may exhibit a message on the center stack screen indicating a circuit breaker on the bed panel outlet is tripped. If the bed panel outlet circuit breakers are not tripped, this may be due to a tripped circuit breaker in the instrument panel above the 120v power outlet. If all breakers are in a non-tripped state, verify the wire harness connector to the instrument panel outlet is fully connected. Engineering is aware of the incorrect circuit breaker messaging and will correct this with an over-the-air SYNC software update in late June 2021. In the interim, advise customers that any circuit breaker tripped message could be caused by any of the 2 bed panel or the IP circuit breakers.

Some 2021 F-150 vehicles equipped with a 2.7L engine may experience lack of heat from the HVAC system. This condition may be the result of a heater hose near the oil cooler being misrouted and/or twisted causing a restriction to coolant flow. To correct this condition, inspect the hose for damage and reroute the hose above the coolant hose running perpendicular then fill and bleed the cooling system following procedures in WSM section 303-03A.
