Step-by-step oil change

    Run it for 3–5 minutes. Warm oil flows out faster.

    Raise and secure the vehicle

    Use jack stands or ramps on level ground.

    Drain the old oil

    Place catch pan under the plug. Loosen with a socket wrench, remove by hand.

    Replace the drain plug washer

    Swap crush washers for new ones. Inspect plug threads.

    Install the new filter

    Wipe the surface. Oil the new gasket. Hand-tighten plus 3/4 turn.

    Reinstall drain plug and refill

    Tighten to spec. Add oil through the filler cap using a funnel.

    Run 30–60 seconds. Check underneath. Check dipstick.
